Things could have ended happily if it had not been for Gisella’s clumsiness. How can it be she got lost in Viridian’s forest? Not that she was scared, but she did not have enough to eat or even to drink. “One day, maybe two…” She thought while sitting down on the humid ground, leaning her back against a tree. She could not start moving around the forest freely; it was more important to save her energy for later. Her eyes looked up into the sky with the hope of identifying the sun’s position. Nevertheless, the trees were so high and thick that only slight light beams got in the forest. Gisella was totally aware that many people had got lost in that forest and did not feel embarrassed at all. Yes, she did not care about her safety but about her reputation. What would Master Blaine say if he knew she was lost? “Better not to think about it…” She thought with resignation. Moreover, she did not have any kind of flying pokémon and therefore could not explore the area or take the right direction.
Soon the sun started to get down and Gisella’s hopes of leaving the green labyrinth vanished. Viridian’s forest was full of Bug- and Flying-type Pokémon that were not really friendly to strangers. However, being in such a place could also have its advantages for Gisella. She was a fire master after all, reason for why she decided to call out one of her pokémon. “Time to come out, Houndoom!” Her Houndoom came out with a bark and landed on the ground gracefully, looking for a possible enemy she could beat. “No Houndoom, not this time.” Gisella said with a soft tone. The fire dog sighed and sat down, looking at her trainer and waiting for instructions. “Okay, don’t laugh at me but… we are lost and you are the only one who can help us get out of here.” Indeed, Houndooms were characterized for feeling very comfortable in the dark and their eyes were much more sensible to moon light than other ones. Moreover, those firing dogs were not really appreciated by other pokémon. The legend said that Houndoom's howling was once claimed to be the call of the Grim Reaper. Some antique legends in Gisella’s opinion, but legends that should never be taken easy. “Okay, let’s go.” The girl started walking behind her partner when the sound of a broken stick made her stop. Her Houndoom started growling as Gisella spoke again. “Who’s there? Come out and show yourself!”

Espeon lay on Pandora's lap, like she usually did. The Feline-like creature curled up comfortably, her tail twitching occasionally. One of Pandora's hands ran up and down the purple creature's back, lulling the Pokemon into a light sleep. Pandora thought hard - still no sign from Giovanni, or a sign of a New Leader unifying all the stationary members of Team Rocket either. She was in Pallet Town, sitting on a bench, debating whether to have the audacity to barge into the gym and demand that Giovanni get everyone in order. That was a rather short debate within the Rocket's mind however, as that would not only blow both their covers...but bring only harm to herself. If he wouldn't - then one of the Executives would no doubt rise to the occasion.
Espeon stirred and rose to her feet to look up at the blond curiously. They had been here for a while now - and both of them knew they couldn't stay here for much longer, that would draw suspicion...or worse, pity. Pandora patted Espeon's back and the Psychic Pokemon jumped down, landing gracefully on the ground. The Rocket smoothed out her usual disguise, which consisted of a black skirt, white Henley, and a purple short-sleeved top over it. She never wore shoes and would probably never find a need to. Pandora picked up a drawstring bag and fished out Espeon's pokeball, quickly returning the feline-like creature into it before dropping it back in and retrieving another. There was a beam of red light and Pandora's Pidgeot looked up at her, afraid and nervous as usual.
Unlike her other Pokemon, whom she looked at with calm but contented look, Pandora looked at Pidgeot through narrowed eyes. The Pokemon was only good for one thing and one thing only - travel. It's battling skills were weak and not only that but it was meek, clumsy, and had the ferocity of a lamb. She mounted Pidgeot, and with a few powerful beats, they were off - flying over Route 2 and Viridian City, where Giovanni was supposed to be. When they flew over the Dreaded Forest of Viridian; however, Pandora ordered Pidgeot to land.
She walked smoothly through the forest, taking only a few steps away from the stolen Pidgeot before the Bird Pokemon took a step and the sound of a twig snapping made Pandora shoot Pidgeot a nasty glare. The Bird Pokemon shrunk back in fear before being banished back into its ball.
“Who’s there? Come out and show yourself!”
Pandora sighed before coming out of the bushes, her drawstring bag hanging loosely from her shoulder. She came across a girl and her Houndoom and gave them a friendly smile - time to put on yet another Facade. Truthfully it had became like a second personality that just clicked on whenever it needed to. "Relax, I'm just passing though." She looked to her right, where the exit was - she had seen it from the sky. "It's dark out now, what are you doing out? Isn't it unsafe?" She didn't care for the well-being of this girl, but she had to at least pretend since it was normal.

The soft flatter of some scared wings caught Gisella’s attention, making her turn back and look into the forest’s darkness. She halfly closed her eyes with the intention of seeing through the shadows, but it did not succeed. Someone stepped out of the trees and told Gisella to relax. It was a woman of about 20 years, maybe a bit more. She was taller than Gisella and wore a black skirt, white Henley, and a purple short-sleeved top over it. Her hair was blond and she did not wear shoes, which surprised Gisella. Although her looks were pretty… dark and sinister in some way, her voice’s tone and her words seemed to be nice and even caring. However, as soon as she stepped closer to Gisella, Houndoom jumped in front of her trainer and growled harshly, not trusting this new figure. “Houndoom, calm down…!” She ordered her pokémon. Houndom continued growling, but in a lower tone, and stepped back, stopping next to Gisella’s right leg. The fire master looked down at her pokémon surprised. She knew Houndoom was not the social type of being, but she did not use to look for fights either.
“It's dark out now, what are you doing out? Isn't it unsafe?”
Gisella doubted for a moment before answering. That woman did not look like she appeared to be and Gisella knew that appearances usually trick one’s expectations. It was much safer to not trust any strangers, just like a little child has to do. “It is unsafe if you do not know how to move along.” She answered. Gisella, just like her master Blaine, Cinnabar’s Gym-leader, loved quizzes. She also liked to give quizzed answers so that other people could crash their minds thinking about what she could have meant. It simply entertained her. Some could see it as a sadistic hobby; to see others go crazy with her quizzes, but she never means to do so. Gisella is probably looking for somebody intelligent with whom she could share philosophical and intelligent conversations. “The same goes to you, though, isn’t it a bit late to decide to land in this forest?” Her eyes stared into the dark, right to the direction from where the woman had come out. “I’ve heard your pokémon flattering its wings before you came out, and I see that you’ve called him back to its ball, are you actually planning on staying here the whole night?”
She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for the blonde to answer. Houndoom had started to growl again, but this time Gisella did not stop it from doing so. It was difficult to trick a quiz-fan like Gisella and it was also difficult to gain her trust. Whoever that girl was, she had at least one pokémon, and judging for the recent events, it was a big flying typed one. Gisella started thinking and making several deductions, concluding that the blonde probably was an experienced trainer. Yeah, that’s how the fire princess’ mind worked. Whenever she met someone, her mind started analyzing each of his or her traits in order to gather more information about him or her. “Or maybe you are lost?”

Pokemon were clever things, Pandora could easily admit that. They had enough sense to protect their Trainers for both their benefit, and while Pandora did scare many Pokemon when she needed to, but some could sense her true nature - some, mostly Psychic types. Pandora bent down to Houndoom's level and smiled softly at her, extending her hand to see if the Hell Hound would allow Pandora to pet her. She was ready to take back that hand - she did need it for work after all. She looked over the girl after the Houndoom backed off and returned to her Trainer's side. The Girl was probably around her late teens, around seventeen or eighteen, most likely completely alone, save for that Houndoom of course.
“It is unsafe if you do not know how to move along.”
"True." She said curtly. "And with your Houndoom you'll probably be fine - she looks quite capable." Pandora gave another smile, just keep up your little facade Pandora.... everyone began to buy it eventually. Most were paranoid now at a first meeting with anyone, especially in a dark Forest. Pandora would certainly exercise caution when faced with someone in a similar situation, though, honestly one of her pokemon, since one was normally out with her as a guard, would sense the person long before they appeared. Pandora avoided others when she could, they usually only muddled in her plans and ministrations - and who didn't hate that?
“The same goes to you, though, isn’t it a bit late to decide to land in this forest? I’ve heard your pokémon flattering its wings before you came out, and I see that you’ve called him back to its ball, are you actually planning on staying here the whole night?”
Pandora smirked out of amusement, not many people would camp out in Viridian forest - and certainly not her from the stories she'd heard. "Absolutely not, I'm just here to do some exploring - perhaps catching Pokemon as well." And in short that was her reason for landing - you can never have too many Pokemon to donate to Team Rocket and perhaps the New Grunts. Viridian Forest only had Bug Types though right? For that reason Pandora didn't get her hopes up when it came to finding strong Pokemon, just some that she could use as bait and for other lesser roles.
“Or maybe you are lost?”
The blond let out a slight chuckle. "How could I be lost if I have a Flying type to take me to the next City with ease? But you - are you lost dear?" She said in an almost motherly way, it wasn't a stretch either, many people got lost in this Forest. Pandora wasn't about to become one of them though.

Even if the woman was smiling, a strange feeling of threat made Gisella distrust of her actions. Houndoom did not like at all the comment the blonde had made about her capability. The fire dog’s pride could be hurt easily and she felt as if the stranger was being ironic. Gisella, however, felt a bit curious about this figure that walked without shoes around the forest. Some pokémon trainers, well, actually those who trained dark typed pokémon, tended to be a bit different and their behaviour was not as common/normal as expected. The thing is that Gisella could not start deducing things by simple suppositions. Her mind was constantly working in deductions that could perfectly be wrong.
"Absolutely not, I'm just here to do some exploring - perhaps catching Pokemon as well."
There it was; a completely normal answer. It was not that rare to find trainers catching pokémon during the night. Moreover, you do not find the same pokémon in the day than during the night. Nevertheless, Gisella was starting to ask herself if it would have been better to meet a big and scary pokémon than this woman. “Well then, I suppose I should wish you good luck with your hunt.” Hunt? Was that really the right word? Gisella looked back at the blonde and stared into her dark eyes. Maybe that was the perfect word for her. “Anyways, I have to go. If you don’t mind, I’ll be going.” She stepped backwards and then turned around slowly when the stranger’s voice made her stop again.
"How could I be lost if I have a Flying type to take me to the next City with ease? But you - are you lost, dear?"
Man was she clever. The blonde’s tone revealed somewhat of perversion when asking Gisella if she was lost. The fire trainer turned around slowly, her Houndoom giving the stranger a death-glare, yet still remaining motionless at Gisella’s side. “Like you said…” She started carefully, one of her hands brushing her long and brown/reddish hair. “...my Houndoom is very capable and if I was lost some moments ago I will not in a few minutes.” Her tone had changed, she was more serene and rough when talking to the woman. “And now, if you excuse me…” She wanted to leave, but for some strange reason she did not dare to turn around. You never know when somebody will attack you from behind, after all. She gave her Houndoom a look of complicity and her pokémon understood what her trainer wanted. “Stay alert.” Gisella thought when looking into the dog’s eyes.

Hunt? Well that was certainly a good word for what she was about to do, but Pandora wasn't about to use it. It would only make her suspicious and perhaps downright heartless, and that didn't really fit this image that she had spent years cultivating. Her face showed a tad bit of curiosity at that sentence, but then nodded as the girl bid her adieu. "Take care then." She said with a smile as she turned. The smile dropped from her face, her eyes narrowed slightly. What to do about this one? Pandora walked casually through some bushes and disappeared from the girl's line of sight. Pandora stole a look behind her after she had been walking for some time, wondering if she should take care of that girl. Yes...that would be amusing and cause quite a bit of Chaos in this Forest the way she would do it.
A Sinister grin spread over Pandora's face, her face contorting into something of pure evil. No doubt that girl would be on her guard, but that doesn't mean she couldn't get rid of her and call it an 'accident'. Pandora dug into her drawstring bag again, pulling out another Pokeball and releasing her Ursaring. He turned his head this way and that slowly, giving the forest his usual menacing look before looking down to his Master. Pandora gave Ursaring a toothy grin, telling the Bear Pokemon immediately that he was about to do something he'd obviously take pleasure from. Ursaring suddenly returned the Evil grin.
The Bear Pokemon roared, sending a whole herd of Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, and Pidgeotto toward where Pandora had predicted the girl to head - since the exit was also nearby. Pandora was hidden underneath the thick leaves of a tree, far from the stampede that she had planned to head toward the Girl and her Houndoom. She allowed Ursaring to act on his own for now, he could fight for himself if a Pokemon was idiotic enough to attack him. Another roar was heard, reminding the scared Pokemon that he was still there....

Gisella watched the woman’s moves carefully and did not start moving away until the blonde disappeared. She waited a few minutes in order to make sure that there was no danger anymore. After she was convinced enough that any kind threat had disappeared, Gisella turned around slowly and entered the deep forest. The calm of the night could be scary to anyone, but the fire princess had already got used to it. She trusted her Houndoom, who seemed to know what direction to take and had already forgotten about the stranger that had hurt her pride. Gisella looked up into the sky. There were no clouds and the starts were shining brightly under the moon light. Moreover, the stars could also help her get out of the forest, leading her to the exit. “You are doing great Houndoom, keep it up.” She cheered her pokémon up, who looked back at her and nodded. Houndooms was obviously trying to look cool and not to give much importance to her trainer’s words, but Gisella knew how much the fire dog liked to be congratulated and always did its best in order to accomplish its trainer’s expectations.
The calm in the environment didn’t last for as much time as Gisella wanted. The ground started to tremble and the girl firstly thought of a slight earthquake, but the sound of some flattering wings and the shrilling voice of multiple creatures revealed the truth of that quake. “Houndoom, run!” She shouted at her pokémon as she started to run as fast as she could. She looked back in order to check that the dog was following her and then saw many Pidgeottos, Butterfries and Beedrills flying right to her. Her eyes opened widely in somewhat of fear and her legs started moving even faster. She did not look back anymore since she did not want to fall on the ground because of some stupid and clumsy stumble. Notwithstanding, as soon as she was starting to feel relieved because of the thin light of what seemed to be an exit, her own feet made her stop abruptly before she could fall down a cliff. “D**n it!” She shouted in anger and desperation wile turning around and looking at the immense darkness of the forest. The sound of the wild pokémon approaching increased and Gisella’s time was coming to an end. “I guess this is the only solution we have …” She than said disappointed, not really wanting to do what she was about to do.
She stood on her feet and stared right into the trees, strangely recovering her calmness. She took a deep breath and closed her left hand into a fist while she stretched her right arm to the side, telling Houndoom to remain patient and to wait for the signal. Soon the ground’s shaking increased and finally the wild pokémon appeared. “This is your end…” She stated with her eyes burning in fire. “Houndoom, use Overheat!!” Gisella’s voice resounded in the immensity of Veridian’s forest. Her Houndoom growled furiously before raising her body’s temperature and opening her snout in order to release a devastating amount of exploding fire. The first line of Beedrills, Butterflies and Pidgeottos landed on the ground with their wings burned and totally knocket out. The rest of the wildlife ran away as soon as it saw the red light of the burning fire, spreading out and hiding in the forest.
Gisella sighed and went on her knees, the fire in her eyes already extinct. She watched the pokémon lying on the ground and quickly took her bag, taking out a potion that could help reviving them. She ran to them and gave them the cold liquid and one by one, the flying victims flew away, tired and defeated. Gisella did not know how much time she had spent in healing them, but she was glad she had done it. She was not the type of person that enjoyed battling wild pokémon. She put the empty potion-bottle back into her bag and padded Houndoom’s head softly before hugging her lightly. “You’ve been amazing Houndoom, like always.” It was then when Gisella’s detective mind started to work. Why were all those pokémon running towards her? Indeed, what did they scare them off? She wanted to think about those questions carefully but her Houndoom interrupted the silence with a very aggressive growling. Gisella looked at her surprised and saw the fire dog staring into the forest. What she had sensed was still a mystery to Gisella.

The Bear Pokemon drew back slightly upon seeing the two targets, a Houndoom and a Human Girl - younger that his Master. Ursaring dove into the bushes, skidding only slightly before taking off closer. He was hidden in the bushes and wouldn't be detected so soon. Their attention would focused on those Bug-types no doubt, Master had used that as a diversion tactic - brilliant. Ursaring had been given extra time to plan his attack - and he would not fail his Master. Ursaring crouched and watched the Houndoom take down all of them in one hit - impressive, but it left no dent on Ursaring's resolve. This Pokemon was strong, he wouldn't make the mistake of underestimating it.
It was then that Ursaring began to take his eyes off the Houndoom briefly, and turned his attention to the Human Girl. Why was he wasting her items on this Wild Pokemon, who would have eventually woken up and recovered anyway, rather then save them for her own Pokemon? Ursaring held back a light snort and turned back to the Houndoom, did she finally sense him? Good. Ursaring smirked slightly and burst out of the bushes, letting out a roar. His strong arms and claws at the ready for the fight that would ensue. He had been ordered to not only test the waters, but get rid of the Houndoom. His Master was obviously watching from afar, most likely with those weird binoculars, so he couldn't be sloppy.
A red aura surrounded Ursaring as it flexed its arms, powering itself up with bulk up to begin. The Bear Pokemon dashed forward, attempting to inflict a slash attack on the Hell Hound for a start. Having used Bulk up, the attack would be more powerful than usual - and with those bananas-for-claws...well it would simply be painful. He could not fail his Master. No matter what.
Underline: Showing that Ursaring used an attack, yadda, yadda, yadda..... Bold + Underline: Attack with STAB-boost

Curiously the Ursaring coming out of the bushes did not take Gisella by surprise at all. That bear pokémon was pretty conscious of everything he had done and judging by his aggressive position, this Ursaring was ready to attack. The thing was that Viridian Forest was not a place in which Ursarings used to be, they actually never were. Finding a Teddiursa would have been a bit more normal, but still very uncommon.
Gisella stood up and turned around to face the Ursaring with a serious look on her face. “You don’t even feel a bit guilty for what you’ve done, do you?” She asked the pokémon roughly. The answer had been obviously no, since the Ursaring had started to bulk up right after Gisella had spoken to it. “I guess we have no other option left… Houndoom!” She called her pokémon out, who immediately jumped in front of her, with its claws drilling into the ground aggressively. Facing a strong opponent like Ursaring was something Houndoom would enjoy, even if the battle was set up for bad purposes. Nevertheless, Gisella knew that underestimating that pokémon could mean her end and therefore thought with caution about her next move.
Waiting for the other one to attack would make things easier, in some way. The Ursaring decided, just as expected, to attack first with a dangerous slash. The bear was physically stronger than Houndoom, basically for his large size. Receiving a direct hit of him would not be the best way to start. “Houndoom, use double team!” The fire dog obeyed without hesitating and started creating multiple copies of her. The real Houndoom was not in the same place than before and had camouflaged herself among the copies.
Gisella decided to move to the side, away from the cliff and closer to the forest. The scenario was very dangerous and the battle had to be studied in depth and performed without any single mistake. The Ursaring seemed to be very focused on attacking Houndoom with its strong and devastating claws. Gisella was surprised as she saw the bear attacking the dog. “You can’t be wild…” The fire princess muttered. Indeed, that Ursaring could not be wild, not with such a high level and such precise movements. Somebody had trained him well, and this person was probably not very far away from where the battle was taking place. Her Houndoom's growls took her out of her trance, making her focus on the battle again. She watched the copies and smiled slightly. Ursaring was now surrounded by about twenty hot tempered dogs that growled at him furiously. “Houndoom, now use Shadow ball!” A purplish-dark ball had appeared in front of every Houndoom’s opened snout, firing the ball against Ursaring.

Ursaring was a little put-off by the double team - as if one Houndoom wasn't enough right? If there was anything the Bear Pokemon knew from seeing that move over and over again is that someone was planning to form it into a combo and attack with all the clones at the same time. The Damage would be embarrassing, and after all the times he had seen this combo he could not - and Pandora would not allow - fall victim to it. He could remember one tactic that had won him a battle before - Pandora had thought of it, so he thought highly of it. For a creature of his size, he was not slow, and even while surrounded he remained light on his feet. Ursaring opened his mouth, took a breath before maneuvering around on his feet in a circle, a Hyper Beam shooting forth from his gaping jaws.
The Beam would hit all the clones, and obviously the real one if it didn't dodge the attack. As all knew, Hyper Beam did serious damage, so most Pokemon Ursaring used it on scrambled pitifully out of the way, but it just prolonged their suffering usually. This powerful move was a double-edged sword, as Ursaring wouldn't be able to attack with moves for a while - so he'd...improvise.
(( BAD POST - SORRY TT.TT ))
