I stay in time and watch you pass by.
The empty silver rails looked almost lonely just sitting there. The last rays of dusk shimmered in the area only faintly lighting the deserted station, the people who originally worked there had left hours ago due to the lack of use of the train. Maybe a janitor would walk in and sweep a broom around the white and yellow tiles that covered the floor. Dust could no longer be found there, mud, rubber and shoe-marks could no longer be seen there, it was just empty. Someone who had seen the station some time ago wouldn’t even believe how empty it was, the room where the train would lurch to a stop would seem too big, cavernous. The light filtering through the glass rooftop would be too bright, the empty chairs sitting in the corner would bring in an unsettling feeling that something was not right. All throughout the station something would be wrong, a feeling of emptiness rested within the walls a feeling that would last and echo and bounce against the railings and the chairs and the seats.
And something was indeed wrong.
Ever since Goldenrod ceased to exit Sabrina had found herself alert, after all the Magnet Train connected the two towns well together. Saffron and Goldenrod, Goldenrod and Saffron even a fool could make the connection. Respectively they were the two biggest cities in their respective regions it made sense that if they struck at the heart of Johto, the heart of Kanto would be in that very same list as well. She strongly doubted they would strike again so soon –Team Rocket that is, but one could never be too careful. She remembered vividly the Silph Co. incident and that was something she would not like to repeat that happened when her Gym became the official Gym of Saffron City she had been distracted, too distracted and she had a feeling that that was exactly why they chose the time to strike that they did. Now she always made sure to have everything in a neat order, now she was almost OCD about such things, if she didn’t have time to venture the city and check out that everything was a O.K. she would almost nearly panic. Now she would make sure there was someone walking around the town every hour, from Vortex to Verdani and even the lazy Vlad they all did their part. They simply had to.
However the Magnet Train Station wasn’t always as empty as one would think, lately it had become the haunt of teenagers. They would sneak upon the empty halls and walk atop the empty rails. Occasionally one would spot a Pichu or a Pidgey sneaking into the station by the rails and sniffing about curiously. She mostly suspected them to be city Pokémon –no other Pokémon would get the nerve to sneak into such a previously populated place without making sure the place was officially empty. But she figured it hardly mattered –the teenagers could sneak in, the Pokémon could sniff about and the janitors could sweep the floors until they shone- it wouldn’t change the fact that the place was empty. Already she feared that the town was suffering from the loss. It was the fastest way to get to Johto –one could visit family and friends, travel quicker, a method of communication. Now families from Goldenrod where stuck in Saffron, now people from Saffron were lost in Goldenrod or forced to stay in Johto and now everything could slowly start to fall apart beneath her feet.
But no need to despair Sabrina, perhaps everything would go well.
But she knew that it wouldn’t. This was a message, not just to Goldenrod, not just to the surrounding towns, not just to Johto, the message went as deep and far as to affect Kanto as well. Now there was no sure-fire fast way to get to Johto. Communication between the two regions was cut and dwindling. Now if something happened in Johto there was no way to count from immediate help from Kanto and now if something happened to Kanto there was no immediate way to-
“Haunt-er!”
Sabrina looked up, a tad startled at the suddenness of the sound. She was already expecting Vlad to pop up at any moment but the ghost always seemed to catch her by surprise. “Vlad? Where is Orion?
[/color]" she asked idly not waiting for any answer from the Haunter. And she was correct in her deduction as the Haunter threw its head backed and laughed then flipped in the air, drawing idle patterns in the space but never quite making sense of himself. She sighed but couldn’t help chuckling and rolling her eyes for a bit at the Pokémon’s antics. It was one thing or another when it came to Vlad and she shouldn’t expect otherwise. Sabrina figured Orion would be quite alright by his lonesome, the Espeon wasn’t incapable of defending itself and surely it could find its way back to Sabrina –or the Gym. The point was that he would be safe and she was content with knowing that and nothing more. Vlad drew nearer to her and peered at her expression which had regained the thoughtfulness it had had earlier. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - character: sabrina rper: ceelklee song: to a friend - alexisonfire other: umm... open to anyone because i seriously need to get Sabi active? current pokemon: [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxCLAIRSaffron City. Any other time, Clair would be happy to be here. It was a nice, bustling city that always seemed to be alive- a huge contrast with her rural hometown of Blackthorn City. She was also pretty fond of Sabrina, the gym leader of the large city. Living so far apart, the two weren't as close as they were to the gym leaders in their region, but were still good acquaintances.
But now, her former enjoyment and awe at being here was replaced with fear and worry. It seemed that she had stayed here too long, and now the train to Johto wasn't running. While she had been gone, Team Rocket attacked Goldenrod City, crippling contact between the two regions at the same time.
Normally, Clair would just hitch a ride on her Charizard, Scorch, but that wasn't possible right now. You see, she didn't want to leave Blackthorn City unguarded when she left, so she had to choose which pokemon to leave. Seeing as Scorch was more fierce a battler than all of her other pokemon were combined, she left him- supervised by her mature dragonair Eduard, of course. It wasn't until now that she realized what a stupid idea that was. The only way she could get back now was through sea travel, either on her kingdra Canter or her gyarados Dancer. She was stuck in Kanto, miles away from her hometown during a high risk of attack.
Silently cursing her stupidity, Clair made her way to the train station, for no other reason than to gaze at the rails that carried her here and now couldn't do the same, in reverse. Sighing, she looked around. To her moderate surprise, she saw Sabrina not too far away from her. Maybe her pokemon could teleport her back to Blackthorn, and then she wouldn't have to navigate stormy seas. She hurried up to her before simply saying, "Hello, Sabrina." She didn't feel that just asking to use one of Sabrina's pokemon to teleport her would be polite, so she just greeted her.

there's more to come this is just a glimpse.
Vlad or Vladimir if you wish, wasn’t exactly what one would call the ideal partner to bring out to a Pokémon battle, unruly and rather disobedient the Haunter tended to make himself more of a disadvantage than any real help for the team. Right now as his trainer fuzzed over some deep problem, probing and beating her mind senseless for an answer Vlad spun in lazy circles in the air, occasionally murmuring some kind of noise which sounded like lazy “haunt-er’s” in one such circles it would occasionally skim so close to the floor it almost seemed like it would smack hard against the tiles, of course it was a ghost so Haunter was mostly out of harm’s way but it was still disgruntling to see. It whistled past the ceiling and whisked off to Sabrina’s side peering at her expression and upon seeing no change it would go back to doing its pirouettes in the sky.
However Sabrina was too deep in thought to notice Vlad’s patient attempts to catch her attention, in fact she was so deep in thought she barely even noticed that someone had come in. Instead she gazed forward, eyes open yet not seeing anything. She blinked once making Vlad think she had snapped out of her episode but when the Pokémon peered at her face yet again the only change in her expression was her pursed lips and the slight frown that lingered. Now the Haunter was worried, he floated idly before Sabrina’s face and waved its hands in order to catch her attention and just as it was beginning to think that it would all be useless and his trainer would be forever caught in that stance, frozen in time, Sabrina blinked in surprise and offered Vlad a tiny smile.
“Don’t look so flustered and upset, just be off with it,” she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Vlad did not react immediately, in fact he did nothing more than to hang floating in mid-air while looking closely at his trainer before, he too, grinned wickedly and let out a bout of laughter for apparently no good reason. Sabrina watched it with a mixture of confusion and amusement as it (still laughing) spun around in the air and passed thought walls and shook the vending machines, the chairs, anything it could get its claws on was either shaken or thrown idly aside. The Gym Leader watched the chaos ensue for a few minutes, chuckling when the Haunter pretended to get caught in the vending machine. However she was most pleased that when she called Vlad he quickly came to her side with a smirk and some chuckles.
"Hello, Sabrina."
Startled by the voice Sabrina whipped around to face the newcomer. Truth be told one of the thoughts that circled through her mind would be that if whoever happened to come here had seen the disarray Vlad had caused and was prepared to scold the disobedient Haunter in some way, since she feared that might just get the ghost-type angry. However she soon recognized the figure striding forward as Clair –one of Johto’s Gym Leaders. She looked curiously then at Clair, wondering firstly what would the a Gym Leader of another region be doing here especially after recent events then she managed to figure that she was stuck here much against her choice. The Magnet Train did not work, but still, Clair was a master of dragon-type Pokémon, if she urgently needed to be in Johto surely one of her Pokémon could carry her across the land? She dismissed the thought immediately of Clair being stuck and simply decided that she must have a good reason to be so far away from home.
“I didn’t expect to see you here, Clair,” she said with a polite smile “should’ve paid me a visit earlier,” her voice was kept friendly and open, though towards the end the tone changed to teasing. Obviously Sabrina didn’t expect Clair to be able to find her rushing around the city even if she had been looking for Sabrina, lately the Gym Leader was kept so busy, but she wouldn’t let the chance pass to lightly tease a fellow Gym Leader.
Vlad complained behind Sabrina and blew a raspberry towards Clair’s direction. That Pokémon couldn’t sit still.
